Marilyn lives -
in Haugesund

The Atlas Copco ROC D7 C computerized surface drilling rig received a warm welcome at the Anlegg 2002 construction exhibition in Haugesund, Norway. For in addition to its many impressive features, this rig was equipped with a touch of glamour: It bore the name "Marilyn", after the famous moviestar Marilyn Monroe whose Norwegian father is reputed to have come from the Haugesund area.

And just like the actress, this particular star received a great many admirers during the show in Haugesund, which, coincidentally also happens to be the venue for Norway's annual film festival.
